چکیده
This study aimed at estimating total forest above-ground net change (ΔAGB; Gg) over five years (2014–2019) based on model-assisted estimation utilizing freely available satellite imagery. The was conducted for a boreal area (approx. 1.4 Mha) in Norway where bi-temporal national inventory (NFI), Sentinel-2, and Landsat data were available. Above-Ground Biomass and Biomass Components Estimation Using LiDAR Data in a Coniferous Forest
This study aims to estimate forest above-ground biomass and biomass components in a stand of Picea crassifolia (a coniferous tree) located on Qilian Mountain, western China via low density small-footprint airborne LiDAR data. LiDAR points were first classified into ground points and vegetation points. After, vegetation statistics, including height quantiles, mean height, and fractional cover we...

This paper reports on a test of the ability to estimate above-ground biomass of tropical secondary forest from canopy spectral re ectance using satellite optical data. Landsat Thematic Mapper data were acquired concurrent with eld surveys conducted in secondary forest fallows nearManaus, Brazil and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Measurements of age and above-ground live biomass were made ...
متن کاملImproving the Estimation of Above Ground Biomass Using Dual Polarimetric PALSAR and ETM+ Data in the Hyrcanian Mountain Forest (Iran)
The objective of this study is to develop models based on both optical and L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data for above ground dry biomass (hereafter AGB) estimation in mountain forests. We chose the site of the Loveh forest, a part of the Hyrcanian forest for which previous attempts to estimate AGB have proven difficult. Uncorrected ETM+ data allow a relatively poor AGB estimation, bec...
